Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Twitter often talks about video games, movies, cryptocurrency, music and perhaps all things under the sun. And Tesla under Musk has earned the tag of being a ‘cool’ place to work at. The Tesla CEO, according to a report by CNBC, in an email to employees told about his views on listening to music at work, or more specifically in the Tesla factory.
In an email dated October 3, Musk made it clear that he like people listening to music at work. “Just wanted to say that I very much support music in the factory, as well as any little touches that make work more enjoyable.”
Musk also said that he is fine with employees listening to music on true wireless earbuds as well as on speakers. In the email, Musk also noted that he cares very much about employees and sought feedback on what else could be done to “improve” things. Here’s Musk’s email to Tesla employees on the subject “Music in the Factory” :

From: Elon Musk

Date: Sunday October 3 [time redacted]

Subj. Music in the Factory

Just wanted to say that I very much support music in the factory, as well as any little touches that make work more enjoyable.

An associate just sent me a note asking if we could have one ear bud for music so the other ear can listen for safety-related issues. That sounds fine to me.

Also, ambient music from speakers is also totally cool so long as there is reasonable agreement among your colleagues as to the music choices.

If there are other things that you think would improve your day, please let me know. I care very much that you look forward to coming to work every day!
