These plans are in addition to Jio’s existing Cricket plans that range from Rs 499 upto Rs 3,119, offering a validity starting from 28 days to all the way upto 365 days.
The Rs 555 Jio ‘Cricket’ plan is essentially a data add-on plan that will provide 1GB data for 55 days or a total of 55GB data with a complimentary 1-year subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile and to Jio apps. This Jio prepaid plan, however, does not provide any voice and SMS benefits. Jio users can avail of this prepaid plan on top of an active plan only.
The second new Jio prepaid plan is priced at Rs 2,999 and provides 2.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calling, 100 free SMS per day, and a complimentary subscription to Jio apps. The plan has a validity of 265 days. As an added benefit, this Jio prepaid plan includes a complimentary subscription to Disney+ Hotstar Mobile for 1-year.
Notably, the Rs 2,999 Jio annual prepaid plan is being offered under a ‘limited period offer’ only.
Additionally, Jio offers Disney+ Hotstar premium subscription with its Rs 1,499 and Rs 4,199 plans that offer 2GB daily with a validity of 84 days and 3GB daily data with a validity of 365 days, respectively. This is in addition to the usual voice and data benefits.
To recall, Jio last year had launched several prepaid plans in partnership with the over-the-top player amid the T20 cricket season.
These Jio prepaid plans were priced between Rs 401 to Rs 2,599 and included benefits such as additional data along with a complimentary Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription that allowed all Jio users to stream live matches.
For its JioPhone users, the telco had launched a dedicated ‘Jio Cricket app’ free of cost. Users could watch score updates, take part in quizzes and win prizes.
Airtel, meanwhile, offers access to Disney+ Hotstar with its prepaid plans priced between Rs 499 to Rs 3,359 that have validities from 28 days to 365 days.
Lastly, Vodafone Idea provides a Disney+ Hotstar subscription with its prepaid plans priced at Rs 601, Rs 901, and Rs 3,099 with a validity of 28 days, 70 days, and 365 days, respectively.
Vi has recently also launched a ‘Vi Fan of the Match’ contest for its customers under which it will ask 20 questions per match, and the participants with the most correct answers will stand to win an iPhone and upto 20 vouchers.
